Birthday Cards

I made 3 birthday cards earlier this week and still need to make a couple more for all the February birthdays.

This first one is for a friend who loves New York and is a "grunge" style card.  I am loving the lettering on the "tickets" made with a new alphabet stamp set I got!
And these two cat cards are for two people who like cats.  The images are coloured with oil pastels and then covered over in a thin layer of watered down white gesso.  The gesso seals in the pastels so it doesn't rub off and make a mess!

Sorry it's been ages since my last visit hun, and thanks for all your lovely support and comments regarding Mom.
These cards are gorgeous, I love the design on the first one, oh I would love to go to NY one day

Really great cat cards too, the effect with the oils and gesso is a new one on me, very clever.
Ive been dying paper in tea bags today, don't ask where I got that idea from...lol

Hope your well, take care

Lovin this! A while back I was looking for a birthday card for a friend's son. I had zero luck finding what I was looking for. I told a group of friends about this problem one night while we were having a few drinks. We proceeded to get smashed and make up a bunch of greeting cards we found funny. I had been writing down the cards we made up and the next morning I read them. Much to my surprise the cards were still funny even when sober.
