WOYWW Apr20/11

Today on my desk is a new page I am working on in my art journal.  I have made a background with watercolour crayons and then stamped acrylic paint with bubble wrap to create an ocean-like setting.  And now I am stenciling some underwater plants.  This is going to be the new home for my mermaid paper dolls that I made a couple of weeks ago.  You can sort of see them sitting up at the upper left corner, waiting to go for a swim.
Why am I posting what is on my desk, do you ask?  It is for WOYWW, which is hosted by the wonderful Julia over on the StampingGround every Wednesday!  Pop on over and you can see many many other creative spaces and even join in if you wish!  Happy WOYWW everyone!

Truth be known...that 'to do' list was yesterday's jobs....more came in during the day and I'm just finishing hemming up the curtains now and thats all my sewing jobs done...til the next lot arrives :-)
[Yes, I do wear my knickers on the outside on days like that :-) ]

Your mermies look as if they are going to jump into that gorgeous pool (oops page) in your journal. Happy WOYWW and thanks for calling in on me.
The Smooches pearl paints are great for marbling, as well as painting, and you will see how I used them if you look at 15th Feb on my blog.

I like the beginning of this page. The colors are gorgeous, I love that you used watercolor crayons. I still have to practise with them. I'm also a big fan of bubblewrap stamping. I bet that the page will be lovely once it is finished.

Hi Karen, Thanks for your visit - That looks like the perfect home for a mermaid.

I've been doing the Suzi Blu courses too. They're great fun. I have an Art Journal on the go - it's a small one I've made and it just fits nicely into my handbag so I can do something where-ever I go.

Hey Karen, I've just seen the finished article - it's brilliant! I knew there was a reason I was popping over so late after Wednesday ;-)

The moveable bits are a genius idea.

Thanks for your comments on my post and I'm glad you enjoyed the video of little Ellie. Apparently some Schnauzers are known to even walk around puddles, so I think we did quite well getting her to paddle!
